Saying Yes to Jesus
Saying yes to Jesus often means saying no to ourselves. But, in saying yes, we find who we were meant to be, those who are called to live an extraordinary life.
Worship Through Music
It is in worship that we reverence and honor God. Daniel’s message clarifies for us the role of music in leading us to a heart of worship. He exhorts us with the question, “Am I living a lifestyle of sincere worship?” In that context, he reminds us to use all that God has given us, as well as music, to bring Him glory and surrender to Him with a heart of worship.
Outward Focused: Hospitality
Hospitality is an expression of generosity that describes who we are because of the work of Jesus in our lives. In this context may it be said of us that the spirit of hospitality characterizes the way we touch lives with the gospel. In this spirit may we be as in Acts 4:32 "of one heart and one soul."
Outward Focused: Missions
God has extended an invitation to Go and engage people, far and wide, with Him. Monira challenges us to take a look at the issues that keep us from stepping out and being Kingdom focused. Taking our eyes off of ourselves, let’s step into these mission opportunities and accept God’s amazing invitation to partner with Him and change lives for eternity.
Outward Focused
In this message, Darrell reflects on what it means to be “outward focused.” Whether at a church outreach, a family gathering, work, the gym or the ball park, to be outward focused should be a lifestyle, not just an event. Jesus calls us to serve and love others as he has served and loved us.
Let the Little Children Come
“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them….” In this message Casey reminds us that Jesus esteemed the simple trust of these little ones and that we must be the kind of church community that vigorously protects them and points them to Jesus.
Generosity
We serve a generous God. He loves to give good gifts and gives far more than we could return. Daniel outlines with Biblical examples the ways in which God is generous toward us. Have you received from God? What is it that God has put in your hand? The challenge is to give out of your overflow. When you do, your well will never run dry.
Journey with Jesus: His Last Days
Journey with Jesus: Unconditional Love
The new covenant introduces a love that transcends the constant pressure to perform in order to be accepted. Darrell calls us to surrender to this life-changing, unconditional love of Jesus.
Journey with Jesus: The New Covenant
We are all familiar with different kinds of agreements that characterize our life together with people. God’s covenant or agreement with us is anchored in his unending and unconditional love for us. As Jesus came and fulfilled the old covenant, he started a new covenant based solely on His faithfulness.
Testimony of Robin Huber-Street
Robin describes events in her life and how she has learned to trust God.
Journey with Jesus: Receiving His Transforming Power
Darrell teaches out of Luke 19 where the scripture declares that Jesus came “to seek and to save those who are lost.” He refused the crown that many wanted him to take, but won the crowd with his servants heart and transformational message.
Journey with Jesus: The Raising of Lazarus
Darrell teaches about the raising of Lazarus and the turning point this was to the ministry of Jesus. Increasingly, it brought popularity to Jesus, as well as the hatred of the Jewish leaders. Ultimately, it led him to Jerusalem and the cross.
Journey with Jesus: Nick at Night
Jesus encounters a true seeker from among the pharisees named Nicodemus. Darrell teaches from John 3 where Nick comes acknowledging that Jesus is from God, while Jesus responds to him with another teaching rooted in his new way of thinking.
Testimony of Charish Moore
Charish shares a moving testimony about the transformative work of Jesus in her life. She specifically highlights the area of giving where she learned to trust God and test His promises. Through this process, He took control and brought healing to her broken places.
Journey with Jesus: The Sermon on the Mount
In this message, Casey reminds us that we have to lean into this journey with Jesus. With it comes on-going opportunities to grow as Jesus challenges us to a new way of thinking about life. Casey explores the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5 where Jesus introduces the high points of a new radical way of thinking and living.=
Journey with Jesus: Fish Tricks
The religious people of Jesus’s day believed that God separated Himself from sinners. In contrast Daniel shares the story in which Jesus calls sinful men by revealing Himself through a surprising fish story. It is through this miracle that Peter sees his sinfulness and first calls Jesus, Lord. Listen in and discover how Peter’s journey with Jesus begins, not with faith, but by simply following.
Journey with Jesus: Temptation
Darrell continues our Journey with Jesus while looking at the Lord's personal temptation with Satan. In it we see how temptation can lead us away from the very kingdom principles that Jesus came to introduce in the new covenant.
The Purposes of Jesus
Preceded by John the Baptist, Jesus comes to bridge between the old and the new covenants. John declares of Him, “Look, the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world!” In this we see the purpose of Jesus to remove sin and so confirm a new covenant that fulfills the promises of the old.
