The Heart Comes Home - To Hope and Peace
There are often times in life when we wander away from our roots, only to eventually find our way home. This advent season we will be looking through the perspective of the Gospel of John as he displays for us the advent of Christ and the meaning of our journey home to Him. In today’s message, Daniel emphasizes a message of hope and peace as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas season.
Thriving in Christ
Jesus defines God for us as He embodies the attributes that make possible that “super abundant” life in Christ. The overflow of this life results in a generosity that is both spontaneous and intentional. In this message, Darrell clarifies that work of grace which produces the generous life.
Thrive or Survive
As believers, God’s promise to us is that our lives should be abundant in ways that go far beyond finances, but we have an enemy who wants to rob us of this blessing. In this two part message, Darrell seeks to tear down the idols that interfere with this central purpose of God.
Prosperity: To Be Led Along a Good Road
Prosperity is a mind set and a way of living that has very little to do with money. It produces a contentment that rises above our circumstances, and an inward sufficiency that comes from our surrender to God. Bottom line, we prosper as our souls prosper.
Likeness, in His Image
In the beginning, God made us in his image. When we accept Jesus as our Savior, we enter fully into the image that God created us for. We are set free to be who we really are.
Crossing Any Boundary
In this message, Daniel reminds us that prejudice resists the move of the Holy Spirit. Be willing to consider what prejudice you need to give up by first identifying what it is and what it says about your heart.
Friendship
Darrell exhorts us to allow Jesus to be our friend so that we in turn can be a friend to others with a love that is not based on performance. Considering the “Woe’s” of Matthew 23, he encourages us to look at those qualities that keep us from living out Biblical friendships.

Something New
2 Cor 5:17 tells us that in Christ we are a new creation. Daniel unpacks the meaning of this verse in preparation for today’s baptism. He explains that Jesus came to replace the old baggage of our life with something new that will bring us true peace and rest.

Followers Who Are Wide Awake
Jacob exhorts us in this message to resist our personal distractions and “run the risk of fearlessly loving.” Much like the ten virgins of Matthew 25, we too must know the hour we live in and engage our calling with focus and preparation. Ultimately, fruit that lasts flows from lives that are grounded in the love of Jesus.
COMMUNION: Remembering the Savior
Our Oasis community celebrates the body and blood of Jesus in this Sunday service. Looking deep into the early church father's various expressions of faith and worship, our congregation responded with several of these, and then took together from the Lord's table remembering that His body was broken and His blood was shed for our redemption.
Life Together
Within our church community, God calls us to live a shared life together and exhorts us to “not forsake the assembling together” of that community. Darrell encourages us in this message to reject the independent spirit of the Western church, and to love and honor each other as we do “Life Together."
Defining the Gifts of the Spirit
What are the spiritual gifts in our specific body? As our church completes the gift assessment in the week ahead, hopefully, this puzzle will begin to take shape. In this message, Daniel defines the prominent gifts so we can have some common guidelines as we assess our own place in Oasis Vineyard.

Concerning the living out of our faith in Christ, John Wimber said, “We all get to play!” In light of this, it is important to identify our gifts so we can see how God is using us and find our place in our local church.
Transformation: Bearing the Fruit of the Holy Spirit
Jesus said that He came to bring us life. The evidence of that life should be the fruit of the Holy Spirit within us. Time to ask, “Where is this fruit being lived out in your life and where is it not?” This is where Jesus stands ready to bring true transformation!
Transformation: Living Out New Priorities and Changed Behavior
Coming into God’s presence breaks the power of the lies that flood our minds. It is in this place that we are transformed as we respond differently. In the words of Andrew Murray, “Let his sunlight restore the wasted years."
Repentance
A healthy response to God’s Word should include a process of confession, worship and praise. The result? A new you. Let’s get rid of our idols and get a look at all we can be in Him.
